Yum Extender (yumex) is a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for the yum package manager. It allows installation and deletion of applications via a GUI. It also allows you to install new applications and upgradate of existing application via GUI. Its a very useful tool to have. It really makes installing new applications and updating existing applications very easy and user friendly.
Step One
Open up terminal and run these commands
su yum install yumex
Step Two
After the installation finishes Yum Extender (yumex) can be found under “Applications > System Tools > Yum Extender“. You can also run it from the Terminal by simply typing “yumex“.
Yum Extender (yumex) is installed and you can use it to install, remove or update any application you want. Its very easy to use and navigate.

Every time you run yum extender it will ask you for your root password.

Installing apps using Yum Extender.
Installing any applications using yum extender is very easy, all you have to do is check mark the applications you want to install and press the apply button. And it will try to resolve any dependencies issues that might arise. And finally press the OK button to install the application.
Using Yum Extender can ease some difficulties of installing new applications in Fedora. Also it features a search function which will allows to find all the applications related to the search term.
